It started with a feeling.
Not a bug, not a tutorial — a feeling that the internet
could be so much more beautiful than it was.
I'm Vampelium (she/her), a Canadian dev and designer who
fell in love with code because it lets me build worlds.
Chapter 1: The Aesthetic Awakening
I didn't start with "hello world." I started by trying to
make something pretty. CSS before JavaScript. Design before
logic. I wanted pixels to feel like poetry.
That obsession with beauty led me deeper: how does a page
render? What makes an animation feel alive? Why does some
code feel elegant and other code feel like a pile of laundry?
Chapter 2: Woman in Tech ✿
Being a woman in tech means you often have to prove you
belong in spaces you built. I stopped proving and started
just building. Louder. More boldly. More me.
The best revenge is a pixel-perfect deploy on a Friday.
Chapter 3: Canada 🍁 to Japan 🌸
I grew up in Canada, shaped by its winters and its warmth.
But my heart has always drifted east — toward Japan, its
design philosophy, its attention to detail, its art.
One day soon, I'll build from Tokyo. Until then I build
with that same intention: every pixel placed with care.
